Goodyear offers ‘Highway Helper’ on iPhone
17 November 2010
Goodyear has launched a unique new iPhone application designed to keep Australian drivers safer and more informed behind the wheel of their cars.
The free Goodyear ‘Highway Helper’ app, downloadable from the Apple iTunes app store, is packed with a variety of content and practical information that might be needed on the road.
It allows for quick access to important phone numbers such as emergency help, police, tow trucks and taxis, as well as dealer information, car maintenance advice and safe driving tips.
Daniel Lloyd, Goodyear’s Online Marketing Manager, explains the background behind the app; “Goodyear is constantly striving to meet consumers’ needs not only with our tyre products but also with the services we provide.“
Innovative thinking lies at the heart of Goodyear, we are consistently offering products and services that are leading-edge in the tyre industry, and we are pleased to launch this iPhone application to our customers and dealers.
“We wanted to provide a valuable and practical service that consumers can refer to quickly when they need it most, and at the same time entertain them with games that are fun to play and share with friends,” he said.
In addition to providing handy information on various common vehicle problems, such as a step-bystep walk through on how to change a tyre and other useful car and tyre maintenance guides, the Goodyear Highway Helper also offers interactive and fun games that challenge user’s knowledge and driving skills, with scores that can be easily shared with Facebook friends in one touch.
The Goodyear Highway Helper application is free and can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes appstore: http://ax.itunes.apple.com/au/app/goodyear-highway-helper/id358373452?mt=8#ls=1
