Goodyear Tyre Protection Plan (TPP) is an additional warranty plan to help protect your tyres against certain types of damage. It covers puncture repairs, impact fractures, accidental cuts and kerb damage.
If your tyre(s) fail for these reasons, we will provide and fit a repaired or replacement tyre (as appropriate, as determined by Goodyear in its discretion). Puncture repairs are only allowed in the crown area of the tyre, they are not permitted in the bead, sidewall or shoulder area of the tyre. For replacement tyres, you will be charged a pro rata amount of the cost you paid for the original tyre based on your tread usage and any service fees associated with fitment. That means if 10% of the tread on the discarded tyre is worn, you pay 10% of the original price of the discarded tyre for the new replacement tyre. The replacement tyre must be the same brand and type as the discarded tyre, or such alternative substitute as determined by Goodyear.
The TPP warranty applies to applicable tyres purchased at a participating Goodyear Autocare and covers your tyres for the lesser of:
Why purchase a TPP?
Your tyres are under stress everyday dealing with kerbs, corners, potholes, uneven road surfaces and other hazards you may encounter on the road. You should protect them.
What it covers
The TPP is available to be purchased at participating Goodyear Autocare store when you purchase and have fitted with your purchase of any tyres in passenger, SUV, 4WD or ultra-light truck tyre range (14” and 15” rim size only).
TPP excludes run-on-flat (ROF) tyres, tubed tyres, multi piece or split rims.
How to purchase a TPP?
Our TPP is only available at participating Goodyear Autocare stores in Australia.
It is free, if you purchase two (2) or more Goodyear passenger tyres in the same transaction at a participating Goodyear Autocare store. The TPP is otherwise $11.00 per car tyre or $16.00 per SUV, 4WD or ultra-light truck tyre at the time of purchase. The TPP can only be purchased with your tyres and cannot be subsequently purchased.
Consumer Guarantee
Our tyres come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Additional exclusions
Subject to our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law, the TPP:
(a) cannot be purchased by fleet, commercial and Goodyear account customers;
(b) does not cover loss, damage or injury suffered by you or any other person or property;
(c) does not cover damage to any tyre under TPP caused by collision, fire, chain damage, vandalism, racing, improper balance or alignment, improper inflation pressure, use of liquid tyre inflation products, use of sealant products, overloading or illegal fitment to a vehicle or any other misuse or abuse of the tyre;
(d) does not apply where you are able to, or have, applied for compensation or repairs to be carried out that covers the tyre under TPP under any insurance policy.
Goodyear may update these terms and conditions for future purchases of TPP at any time.
